Welcome to the fifth instalment of the A to Z of Business Communication where we will be focussing on VoIP phone systems, specifically the Employee Benefits. The aim of this series is to inform readers about the benefits and underlying technology of our telephone systems.
So far in this series, we have primarily focussed on why a VoIP phone would be beneficial from the perspective of a business owner or manager. However, employee performance is critical to the overall success of a company. It is important to know that any decisions that you make will benefit your employees.
Makes Remote Working Easier
To access calls, join meetings, provide updates, and ask questions as if they were in the office, all employees need is an internet connection.
Employees do not have to rush to work during rush hour because they can work from the comfort of their own home or any other location. Less stress and favourable working conditions help increase your employees’ morale.
Less Workplace Frustration
With our VoIP systems, we can vouch for the quality of our service provider and the reliability of the devices we provide.
Weather conditions, power outages and wire cutting can all cause landline phone disruptions. Companies like BT, Virgin or TalkTalk may take hours or even days to restore service again.
However, as long as you have a reliable internet connection, you can use VoIP.
Call Quality
One of the main benefits of VoIP is the improvements in call quality. After comparing a VoIP call to landline call, the contrast is stark, VoIP calls are much clearer.
VoIP calls are crisper and clearer, with no lag, no delays and don’t dropout. Provided that you have a good internet connection, there should be no issues with the quality of your VoIP calls.
That’s it for this week’s issue, watch out for next week’s issue: F is for Future Proofing.
