Welcome to another instalment of the A to Z of Business Communication where we will be focussing on the user guides that have been created by the VoIP phone manufacturers. The aim of this series is to inform readers about the benefits and underlying technology of our telephone systems.
A user guide, often known as an instruction manual, is a document necessary to explain engineering, scientific, or other technical information to persons utilising electronic goods, computer hardware, or software. In the context of our VoIP telephone systems, each manufacturer has created user guides to explain the functionality of their phones, as well as showing users how to do common actions that they will want to perform.
We have provided these resources on our telephone services page where you will be able to access all the documentation relevant to your VoIP phones. The main phones that we at Kite sell are manufactured by either Mitel or Snom.
Mitel’s team have created a user guide that contains every detail about the phone, ranging from requirements, installation and setup, instructions of use and customisation options. In addition to this, they have also created a quick reference guide which is a short overview of the phones functionality that can be useful when you have recently acquired the phone and need to remind yourself on how to perform certain activities.
Snom’s team have also created a user manual that serves as an in-depth reference book on the phone’s setup, functionality and customisation.
These guides can seem overwhelming as they are incredibly long but do not worry, the telephone systems that we provide are very intuitive. We are always here to provide support for you and will ensure that you do not have to worry about the setup and maintenance of your desk phones so that you can focus on your business.
